And This Month's Media Buzz Word Is...

OPTICS.

"The optics on this reflect badly."

"The optics tell a different story."

"The optics on the ground are violent."

This is the word the press is using all over the place and now my family is directing it to me when I make a no-no on the carpet.

Renaming the NJ Kennedy Center After Obama

Which American Soldier Prisoner?

America has been outraged by Marine Sgt. Tahmooressi jailed in Mexico for taking a wrong turn a couple of months ago. They have petitioned the President to aid in his release. Oooops. He got the name confused and accidentally made a deal for Army Sgt. Bergdahl, a Taliban POW captured 5 years ago when he deserted his platoon in Afghanistan. The Prez traded 5 of the best Taliban war criminals to get this one back. The guy in Mexico probably has to wait because they are looking for some trade-able people to capture first.

Congress - Still Saving Time

Five years ago, I applauded the time-saving technique Congress followed by passing the ObamaCare bill before reading it. Nancy Pelosi was most astute when she said that the bill had to be passed in order to read it. Now that it's law, our elected officials realize that the bill wasn't thick enough and have made over 38 changes so far. My favorite one is that now there are no more deadlines. That saves a lot of work. Now our officials can concentrate on doing things they really like, just like they want us to do instead of work.#Congress

Global Internet Leadership

Just because Al Gore invented the internet here in the United States, doesn't mean our country still has to govern it. Obama is right on track to take the heavy burden of managing this ever-growing thing off the shoulders of the citizens. By distributing management world-wide, more countries can get even more work done and freedom of speech will spread. It can't reach China fast enough. #lightspeed
