Military Cutbacks - Power On!

The government is going to reduce the size of the military so it can save money. The more soldiers that are cut back, the more we can save. And our country sure needs to reduce the national debt. The Secretary of Defense says that this will make the American military more respected and powerful. I even think more countries will like us now. Since the world is at peace and all the good countries are reducing their militaries, we can still be a world power. We can lead the world in being peaceful and nice and get rid of violence.

FCC Bait and Switch

Bummer. Think of all those weeks it took the thinkers to come up with those 5 questions to ask every media outlet in the country. Getting it down to just five sure had to use up some skillful negotiating skills and meeting times. Think of all the jobs that were gonna be created when our government sent out the minders to help us all be protected by the news we hear. It is for our own good, otherwise we would be told what to think! So, no protection, no new jobs, no need for the locked room where all the data was gonna be stored for seven years. What a disappointment. All the work that went into this idea and all hope is lost. We are going to have to think on our own now that the FCC changed its mind. Bait and switch.

Government Land Acquisition

Eminent domain is when the government says "we can do something better with the property you have for the public interest" and your land is no longer yours. Government for the people means that it trumps the people.

If you are lucky enough to be selected by the government to donate your land like a family near Breckenridge, Colorado you can fall asleep at night knowing how you have supported your country. This Colorado family owns 10 acres of land in a 2 million acre forrest and was helped to realize the government's overarching need for it when it was condemned first.  Then there are some Minnesotans with a home on a lake that has been in their family for over 100 years. Without the assistance of our leaders, they would have probably continued to be selfish with their property for another 100 years instead of giving our state another park that everyone can use.

Our government wants it fair for everyone. I hope they start issuing travel vouchers next, I want to go hike in Colorado.

Watch Out World

"There will be consequences."  That is what my Prez said again the other day to another country that had better shape up or else. They must be quaking.

All these countries, all their bad-ness. Boy am I glad my Prez is keeping all of them waiting for his big surprise. It has been five years of him saying this, so when he does dish out those consequences, everyone better duck. It's gonna be fireworks, baby.

What's all this fuss about people needing experience with a country before becoming the Ambassador? Gosh, if you are good at being a dinner guest isn't that the most important thing? Without experience, they have no pre-conceived ideas and will bring fresh ideas to the table.

The Most Beautiful Dress in The World

For the best country in the world!

At the state dinner the other night,  Michelle Obama dazzled the world. FLOTUS represents America - not just American women - and looked be-lovely. People say this $12K dress is a year's salary at poverty level. No, poverty level is $21,000. Ha. And at this dinner they say the calorie count was 2,500 per plate and the menu contained food not on the approved school lunch list. Duh, it was dinner. And last time I checked, 2,500 is way less than 12,000. Do the math. Jackie is back.

My New Freedom To Do Things

Woofs! I am no longer job-locked. I can quit my low-paying job and focus on my passions instead. Thank you ObamaCare! I am free to go skiing and start my new glass blowing hobby. And finally go to culinary school, and of course, the spa. I can now nap without guilt. I am free! Free at last. Thank you, my government, for thinking for me because I would have never had the chance to dream without your initiative. And the coolest thing is that a lot of my friends will quit their jobs too, so we can all be free together. Nancy Pelosi, you are my spokes-gramma. Can I get a ride on your plane?
